This blog represents my five weeks spent in the United Kingdom. I was fortunate enough to be able to study various library and information facilities in pursuit of my MLIS. This blog is a brief glimpse of each of the locations I had the privilege of touring. While I could not write every single thing there is to know and share about these organizations and facilities, I've tried to share some of my favorite aspects. The things that grabbed my attention, or that I thought others really should know. I cannot begin to explain how incredible it was to experience the diversity that the information profession has to offer. It can range from museums, to public libraries, societies, archives, special collections and academic libraries. There are so many areas of study that I feel most people never get to experience. My hope is that what I have shared demonstrates the complexity that is this profession, and the value of the work that these organizations are doing.
